Spewing smoke from tailpipe and under hood. very sluggish and rough
Is this the "end of the road?"

HAHA it might be but lets check a few things first.
where is the smoke under the hood coming from? also what color is the smoke?

smoke is coming from underneath the air filter and i believe the smoke is coming out white from both and smelling like unburned fuel

i would perform a compression test and see what you find there.
