power door locks do no operate.....do i need a fuse, a motor or solenoid.

itr has been stored 10 years....perhaps i do not know how to activate them

hi...I sympathize... I have a 74 jag and a 91. the 91 door locks were fine until I had to leave the car out side in the desert sun. then they stopped working. Im not sure if its just the rubber sleves got fried or if the solenoid stopped. you should check the elec. first, then you have to take the door covers off and check the mechanism , the soleniods for power and maybe even oil all the moving parts. thats the best I can do...Im going to do the same. dm
