Any ideas on improving the gas mileage/performance on a 1987 Forf F-150, 4.9 EFI??

you can boost the overall fuel-efficiency of your car as much as 30% by simple vehicle maintenance and attention to your style of driving.
ensure tires are inflated properly, do not use oversized (or undersized) tires / wheels. replace oxygen sensors if they have not been replaced in awhile. also do the same with all filters as well as spark plugs and wires.
