1986 Volkswagen Jetta 16v Dorch Engine Injector Misfiring Jerks Losing

Its a 16V dorch engine, injector . Its misfiring, it jerks like losing power, what could be the problem?

Check for a broken intake air boot... usually a crack develops between the "accordion" sections of the boot(s).

Also check the little brown ground wires that attach to the cylinder head (some are brown/blk).

To test the fuel injection system (fuel pressure regulator etc), you need a Digital Volt Ohm Meter to do voltage
and current draw (through the regulator) tests.

Check your ignition wires for arcing & oil contamination at the spark plug ends... distributor cap and rotor also
need to be checked.
