To 2carpros, I have been refurbishing my 1986 Toyota Supra with a non-turbo 3.0 engine and standard transmission. This vehicle has been setting for 5 years. I have replaced theses items:fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, all injector seals and grommets, throttle sensor, intake gaskets, vaccum hoses, distributor cap, ignition rotor, spark plugs and spark plug wires. I have cleaned fuel tank, emptied all fuel lines, check for proper fireing order and proper distributor positioning.I have a surgeing engine when you give it gas it will also cut out when gas is given, but at idle it run smooth.I am at a loss as to what my next step is in resolve of this problem with surgeing. Youe responce in this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thank You Rolando

Can you explain in more details what do you mean by surging when giving gas?
Have you checekd the fuel pressure? You might have replaced the fuel pump but if there is any leakages in the system causing pressure to drop, surging coupled with stuttering or stalling would occur.

Have you checked for trouble codes and is the CEL indicating?
