What' the most likely cause of thexhaust system smoking blue or white smoke?
It will smoke a small to moderate amt of white/blue smoke if I idle for 20 minutes or more

That is an indication oil is being burnt in the cylinders or getting to the exhaust system. It could be worn piston rings but the higher percentage would be the valve seals.

What condition do you have on cold start up at idle? any smoke ?
