1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Repair Question

My car will only get up to 20 mphs and than it stalls out..
When i get to 20 mph my car stalls out and i have to keep recranking it.. it wont go pass 20 mph.. i clean the wires by the transmission.... and it still does the same problem.. can you please help me out... it just started it.. thanks so much...

Make sure there are no vacuum leaks, the catalytic converter isn't plugged, and make sure fuel pressure is within spec.
