1986 Ford Bronco • 82,500 miles

My 1986 bronco wont turn over or nuthin. I bought a brand new battery and solenoid, but it wont turn over with key in start. Speakin of key, even when it is in the run or start position, nothing turns on, no lights no pump no nothing at all. Ive jumped the two pins on the solenoid and it turns over but no start. I need help, advise, solutions, ect. Thanx a billion

Check the battery cable connections. Make sure they are clean and tight

look at the fusible links off the positive of the battery.

Lastly, check for power at the ignition switch

Well one of the fusible links was blown about a quarter inch of the link on the solenoid side. Any temperary fix or do I have to replace it right away?

As a temp fix if there is some of the link left crimp a piece of wire on to it. Be careful there may be a short in the system that popped the link.
