1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Repair Question

Oldsmobile 307 slow start
My car starts real slow then it will speed up and start up bt usually it kills the battery even if new 1

Check timing. Check for vacuum leaks. Take it somewhere that does a free starter draw test. The starter can work, but draw too much energy. Check the spark at the plugs. It should be a strong blue or white spark.
