Can i put overdrive in my third and fourth gear?

cause i want better gas milage and its the two gears i mostly drive in and its a car to work on so i want to try new things

you would have to change the rear end ratio. or you could go with larger tires say an inch taller/larger.i did that on my van but i dont think i gained a ton of mileage. my rpms went down about 300.
