Can I put overdrive in my third and fourth gear?

Cause I want better gas milage and its the two gears I mostly drive in and its a car to work on so I want to try new things

You would have to change the rear end ratio. Or you could go with larger tires say an inch taller/larger.I did that on my van but I dont think I gained a ton of mileage. My rpms went down about 300.
