Can i put a 5 speed tranny in my truck?

So what is it that you wish to understand?

Of course you can if the trans can go in. The trans is not the problem but the gear ratios would be. If the ratios do not match what you want, vehice might be under-powered.
Characteristics would be different but for most cases 4 and 5 speed trans differs only slightly in ratios.
So what if the other engine is a 2.2 liter deisil with the 5 soeed and it has 4 wheel drive
Ill still be able to put it in my 1.9 gas and if so what needs to be done to get it in
In this case I don't think it is going to work. 2WD and 4WD are 2 different designs and gas and diesel engine blocks are different. The transmission bellhousing would differ.
Do u know any transmissions thats would go with mine
Sorry I don't but the best place to check would be the salvage yard. They would be in a better position to advise.
