Do all 1985 ford rangers have 2 fuel pumps

Mechanic said problem with fuel pump & replaced, brought back with same problem, replaced again (said first one was bad). still having troubles,
truck runs great until it gets heated up, then starts stalling, I had replaced ignition module also, finally took to mechanic, but thought I had 2 fuel pumps (1 in gas tank too) mechanic said no. can you tell me if he is correct, if so why?? 1985 ford ranger 6 cyl. 2.3L I believe.
Thank you.

there is only one fuel pum pon the frame rail. if it gets hot and stops then check your oil pressure switch, your relay or even a bad ground. clean the ground wire to where it goes. make sure there is no dirt, etc around it.
