1985 Ford F-150 carberator

Dont know what to connect the aluminum tube coming from the automatic choke housing, it goes towards the manifold but I cant see where to connect truck runs horrible and htrottle flap opens and shuts constantly

There should be a hole in exhaust manifold that tube fits into to draw heat not exhaust. There may be a tube broken off. Also there may be a choke pull off that isn't connected to carb as a clip may have fallen off or broken. Pic shows where linkage is you will have to pull air cleaner off check at both ends of linkage and for hole in vacuum tubing as well as pull off working. It should pull towards the pull off motor when starter to hole choke plate partially open then as choke heats up plate will move to full open see pic
