it will crack but will not start

Hey I just brought a 1985 monte Carlo I can get it to start by pouring gas into the carburetor but it will only stay started for a few seconds then dies. I need a little help please anyone...?

First try taping on top of the carb when cranking. Check fuel psi and volume . Remove the fuel line and filter blow some air in to the carb. You might have to remove the top of the carb and clean out the bole

When I cracked it I did here the fuel pump come on.. And it has a fairly new fuel filter on it.. I haven't had much time to check it on but I will be doing anything I can allay tomorrow..

4.3 fuel injection I belive it's a 303

Hey guys sorry I havnt got back to y'all yet. But I letting y'all no that I got the car running, it was just a cinched fuel line on top of the tank...but now I just blead my brake but they still aren't tight enough for me to go test drive it. I still have to push the brake peddle all the way to the floor just to barly get the car to stop... Any answers will help thank
