1984 CJ-7 Jeep mileage: 225,000. I am losing brake assist, when the engine is running. Can you tell me what the procedure for checking the brake booster for vacuum leaks is?

First as you press the brake pedal, you should not hear a hissing sound. Second test, with the engine off, pump the brake pedal several times and then hold your foot on the brake with constant pressure. Leaving your foot on the brake, start the engine. Your should feel the brake pedal pull down slightly indicating that the power brake
