If your talking about the handle, itself? Sometimes there is a spring clip on the backside of handle. The autostore sells a flat bladed tool, you slip the tool behind the handle to remove the spring clip. See if you can see the spring clip, sometimes it is hard to see?

Was the stud for the door handle sticking out? My info on that model year, isn't that great. Usually just to replace handle only, you don't have to pull door panel.

No luck w/ stud. Of course I cant get it out anyway as its locked/ w key broken off, I figured it be easier to replace whole unit vs drilling etc. Do you know if the crank from the handle simply slides into the window crank fitting, and held in place w/ 2 housing screws that run thru tailgate?

Is there a stud? Does the stud have a groove on the end? Usually you put the spring clip on the handle itself, place handle over stud, pop it with palm of hand, your done, Once that spring clip hits that groove, your done. The door panel needs to be inplace first. I looked at a parts book, just showed plain old window crank handle, no mounting screw for handle.

I can't see what your looking at from here, my database doesn't have that good a picture.
