Ford Mustang Fuel pump Problem

My mustang gt 5.0 quit running and I'm not sure what it is I replaced fuel pump, ignition coil, and ignition control module because it wasn't getting spark but now it is and will run if you dumb gas into the carb but now the fuel pump wouldn't kick on when I turned the key but we ran it direct and it still wouldn't fire and there's gas that was coming out of the line going to the carb and I was told the computer is messed up and isn't telling the fuel pump to kick on or something with the injectors idk if you could give me a little info on what it could be..
