Cant get brake lights to work

Both brake lights dont work I have tail lights an blinkers I replaced the switch an no luck im I courious cause I have power to one wire going to switch an no power going to back wires on switch if its defective or is there more than one hot wire going to switch

Only 1 hot wire. Sounds like the switch is not passing current

So the power wire harness to front of switch should bring power to switch an when you push break pedal down should send power to back wire harness an power break lights Social

So power should go in threw front harness an power switch an when you press break pedal down should send power to back wire harness an power brake light correct

Thank you so much after replacing switch an they didnt work iv spent a week chasing wires with no luck I was lost didnt even think a new switch would be bad rite out of the box you hhelped alot I am glad your around
