GMC C1500 Starter Problem
Have a 1981 GMC pick-up that will not turn over. a new battery was recently installed. tried to jump start it but will not crank over

chekc for burnt fusible links at starter. see if purple wire at starter is getting power, ifnot it can be a ignition switch, nuetral switch etc. see if battery has same power as battery with volt metere/test light then hit starter with ahmmer on body while trying to have an assistant start, if it starts your starter is probably bad
