Why does my 81 f100 shake in forth

Don't understand your question-is it shaking on the front while moving, braking or stationary etc-be specific of the problem

When I go into forth gear no matter how fast I am going to hole truck shakes violently and looses speed no matter how much gas I am trying to give it. I think the shaking is coming from the front. It definitely shakes when I am accelerating ( a little bit in third too )
