Toyota FJ-40 Distributor Problem
Bad ignighter on 78 land cruiser. can not find one. is there a way to by-pass ignighter and use a standard coil.

Igniter and ignition coil are 2 different thing. You can't bypass an igniter. Either you go back to basics of using CB points or you can get a different model distributor that has similar contents to cannibalise the parts for interchanging them.
