1978 Pontiac Trans Bought Restoration Drive Often Just Enough Keep Charged Runn

I have a 1978 Trans Am I bought for restoration. so I do not drive it often, just enough to keep it charged and running. The problem is that sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. I bought a new battery for it to rule that out. sometimes it won't start.
