1976 Ford F 650 Would Much Clark 280 5 Speed Transmission Weighs Picked One

I would like to know how much a Clark 280 - 5 Speed transmission weighs? I picked one up one time and my foreman said it weighed at a 1000 lbs. I just don't think this is correct.
