Chevrolet Corvette Distributor Problem
There is a short in the tack wire going from the distributor to the transmission. The short causes the distributor module to overheat, and car becomes unable to run. How difficult is to replace.

the wire from the coil to the starter???
Is this still a points system??

sorry mis read it, thought it said 65.
wire for the tach goes into the main harness and into the dash.
