Plymouth Duster Ignition switch Problem

There is no crank at all, and no power to anything inside, no horn, no headlights, no radio, nothing. There are twelve volts running to the ammeter and to the ignition switch, but when I turn the key to the "on" position, the voltage coming out of the ignition goes away, but voltage at ammeter stays steady. The ignition switch has been replaced, so where might the problem lie?

That is a tough one. Are you certain that you have a good ground?
