If you have spark to the distributor, remove a lead off a plug, get a spare plug and attach to lead, secure plug onto any metal of the engine, crank and check for spark, what do you get? Also make sure plug gaps are not closed over.

The problem is the wrong cap or rotor, if you have spark at the coil and not at the plugs this is all it can be, re check your part numbers.
