1973 Buick Riviera Repair Question

Buick Riviera Backfire Problem
When driving the car it will backfire at times or flutter when i press the pedal to the medal. Basically from a stop position and sometimes when im goin around 30 miles per hr. Or so and i wanna speed up quick it flutters, im not sure what to do to fix the problem

Start with a tune up and run a scan for any unresolved fault codes, start here.
