what other details would there be? when you turn the key on to get the engin to start, it turns dash lights on but wont turn engin over. then again sumtimes it will try an turn engin over. bad ignition posibly? or maybe starters not working right? it acted like it ran out of gas pretty much an now doesnt want to run at all unless you pour small amount of gas into carb then it starts up but only for a secound the idles down a dies out.

Could be a fuel pressure problem or the carb needs overhaul-also test the ignition coil and check point gap
