1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Repair Question

Replaced battery & cables. won't start. cranks fine

Conncting new battery cables--at celenoid /have to do this by feel..a small wire also attached with the positive?

small wire on the starter goes to the s terminal or the inside terminal on the solenoid.

Have pos & small wire on same post - cant get it to start- all sounds/cranks good. ideas? thanks

remove the big wire from the small post. it goes on the big post on the solenoid with the battery cable. the small wire from the ignition switch goes to the s terminal. there may be a second small wire that goes on the outside small terminal of the solenoid, that is the bypass to the positive of the ignition coil.
