I have a '70 Ford Galaxie 500 XL with the 390 engine, Ford C6 trans, manual windows & locks. Something is draining the battery when the vehicle is not in use. Whatever the short is, it can kill a battery in 24-48 hours. The only way I can prevent this is by disconnecting the battery when I'm not driving the car.
I have looked all through the car and I am still unable to locate the problem. I've had a couple of mechanics look at it and they were unable to determine the problem. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Thank you.
