The car came with 245/60-14 t/a radial tires with raised white letters. I'am keeping the 245/60-14 size tires on the front. I'am replacing the rear tires and wheels. I want to put 15x7 wheels/rim with 4.25 bs on the rear. I want to put the biggest tire, dia/width that will fit in the rear. So far i've found that 245/60-15 will fit. 255/60-15 I think will fit. 265/60-15 may fit. 275/60-15 I dont know.
do u think i'am trying to hard to go bigger?

I'd check with a tire store on this. They may have a chart that will show what size you can fit or not. This is pretty much he same as a GTO or chevelle or Olds cutlas 442. I'm trying to remember but tire sizes weren't like that back in the day. The 60 series tires are lower profile so they may allow a little more width.I do remember one of hte kids at the time putting 8 or 9" wide wheels on a 66 chevelle and they fit. So you may be ok.
