1968 Ford Mustang rough running

Replaced head gaskets, etc. Drive rod for oil pump came out of oil pump and fell to one side. Had a really hard time getting distributor back in but finally managed. As luck would have it 180 degrees off. No problem, I rotated plug wires on dist. Cap 180 degrees, also. Now runs rough with lack of real power. Checked everything else, but can't find a problem. I am thinking I need to pull distributor again and get it where it needs to be.

First put dist back where it should be then check for a timing chain problem. If it will start and run kind of bad check to see where timing marks are may be off also test compression if low on ALL cylinders like 90 psi or less it may have jumped a tooth
