Buick Skylark Engine Problem

How do u remove the tranny I unconnected everything it just want pull out I want to put a 455 tranny in should I change the tail

You should removeve the tranny and engine together for easist removal. You will need to remove all mounts and crossmembers and electrical connections. Reomve the starter. You may have to remove the motor mount engine brackets. The remove the axle. Dsiconnect the shifter and clutch if applicable . Remove tranny cooling lines it so equipped.
You will have to measure the mounts to see if it will fit. If the one you have does not fir, get one from a salve yard and replace bearings and seal at machine shop or in a press.
