I have a 1966 mustang that I have somehow managed to get stuck into 2 gears at once. I have no idea what caused this issue or how to resolve it. It has a 5 speed transmission.

I am not sure it if has been upgraded. I recently got it. and the previous owner was unsure of any details on it. So how can I fix this problem?

good luck. There are many trans shops that will bench it for you if you pull it out.

depends on the failure. it could be as little as 100 bucks or as great as 600-800 depending on required parts.
