Bought new drums and shoes for rear end of1950 willys. The new hubs drums and lugs came from different manufactures because the holes had to be inlarged so they could pressed together. I had to do the some to the shoes where the concentric bushing go so they will spin in the holes. I have set all the adjusters so the shoes are at the smallest diameter and they are still to big to place the drum on. There are no other suppliers for these shoes. All venders are selling the same shoe. Is there a way to shave down the shoes? I have a belt sander and have heard this might be an option. Any advice would be helpful.

I AND MY FRIENDS HAVE BEEN GETTING OUR STUFF FROM

http://www.kaiserwillys.com/

I DO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM WITH THE DRUMS......I WAS UNABLE TO FIND A "PRESS ON" FOR "WILLY"...MY '46

THE ONE I DID OBTAIN FOR THE RIGHT REAR, WAS FOR A NEWER MODEL AND IT SLIPPED RIGHT ON AND CENTERED RIGHT UP WHEN THE LUG NUTS WERE INSTALLED..........JUST LIKE IT WOULDA FOR THE NEWER MODEL THAT SLIPPED ON NOT PRESSED ON

SO I'M NOT FOLLOWING YOUR SITUATION, UNLESS YOU THINK IT "HAS TO PRESS ON"

SEND PICS............WE LIKE 'EM!
