I'm back, we talked about this before. Wagon shut off today pulling into a parking spot. Started right up but had to turn it off and sit for 10 seconds. It started back up and pulled into the spot. Came out of Lowes and turned the key and clunk nothing turned key almost all the way back and stopped turned the key forward and started right up. Drove home (about 8 miles) within the ride engine light came on and the code was P0420 converter slow response? I know its 2 separate issues, 1 the key dance issue, but the 420 and the stalling are the same issue, correct? Only 1 code. Thank you

Hi,

When you say you started it back up but had to kill it and then you waited and restarted to park it, why did you have to shut it down right away the first time?

Also, regarding the P0420 and stalling being related, it is possible. Do me a favor. Take a look through this link and let me know if you are comfortable performing the tests:

Let me know.

This happens when the catalytic converter falls apart internally and cloggs the outlet, one has two primary catalytic converters so you will need to check both of them, here is how to do the job physically. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
