Someone tried to steal my car listed LS the other night. They shoved a key from a Chrysler minivan in the ignition and then off my paneling and broke the clip that connects the PATS. I replaced the clip put everything back together now my key will go in fine and I can turn to on the same as before. The red alarm light flashes repeatedly the car will neither crank nor start. I've researched Google everything I can is there anything else I can do short of taking it to a dealership or having a technician look at it?

Hello, I'm Danny.

The first thing you can try is an anti-theft, security system reset. Here is the tutorial:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-reset-a-security-system

After reading just scroll the page lower to find Ford, Lincoln, Mercury further instructions. Get back to us and let us know what happens and we'll go from there. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
