Passenger side wiper does not work

Four cylinder front wheel drive automatic

The other day driving in the rain my passenger side wiper stopped working. Once it stopped raining i went out to look at it and it was very loose and free, I could move it myself. So I thought it just needed tightening but the nut was very tight. So i then removed the black cover and I noticed rod that connects the wipers to the wiper motor was not attached anymore. I tried to see if a nut came off but there is not a bolt or a nut that connects it. Is there anyway to fix this?

Pushing it in back will not resolve the problem for long it will come apart again.
Best way to deal with it is to have the wiper transmission replaced. You are half way there.
Need more directions let us know.

Oh okay, thanks a lot. How do I go about replacing that? Do I just unbolt the transmission arm piece and the bolt a new assembly back on? I am guessing I would have to take the wiper blade pivot cylinder things off as well right?

You can try to put it back together for time being and if you like,
but I have seen it come apart very easy after that and I do not believe it safe (specially in a snow storm ).

Hey, This is great! Is there anyway someone could help me and tell me what part/how much to expect to pay for this! It is one my drivers side wiper that is not working. But same problem. I had the bushing replaced but after one more rain it is broken again. I do not want to be overcharged or surprised by the cost of the repair.

I do not own a manual for my car, and I am just wondering if the wipers run off of individual fuses? It has been really rainy and snowy here and while driving the passenger side wiper just stopped working. The drivers side wiper works just fine. Do they run off of individual fuses and if so, do you know which fuse it is? Thank you.

Not a fuse. You probably have a loose bolt holding the arm on and it is a easy fix. If you do it now instead of later. Using wipers too long will ruin the wiper transmission. Hope this helps.

I replaced the ignition locking cylinder in my car, the anti theft and service lights are on and my panel gauges, radio and wipers do not work. However the wipers and radio work when the key is turned back. How would I fix this?
