Hi, just had Volvo repaired after my daughter had it quit in city. The repair shop charged $1500 for a fuel pump replacement which I thought was ridiculous but did not have many options since it was towed to that shop. The car ran for about a week and quit again in traffic. After being towed back to the same shop they explained that it was out of gas and that the gauge was not reading right. Want to charge now for new sender. Although I am not that familiar with Volvo's I thought the sender and pump should be one unit and should have been replaced on the original job. Did they screw the job up or am I wrong and it is a totally unrelated problem. Thanks Brian.
