Battery died and replaced. Now the fuel gauge won't read above 1/2 full even when actually full.
Does go down as gas is used, and will go back up to 1/2 when filled up. Is there some kind of re-set required after batter replacement?

This applies only if you have a plastic gas tank. You may want to look at the fuel level sender on the left side of the gas tank. To access you need to remove the rear bench and remove the 10mm nuts to remove cover. Inspect wiring harness and make sure to check to see that nothing was unplugged. Anything beyond that you should take in to a shop for further diagnosing.
