My 1990 Volvo GLE 16 Valve Starts but won't run. The car has had all it service at a Volvo Dealer. It currently has 120,000 and just had ad the timing belt and some related items replaced. (Quite a big bill!) The car has not been used for three months. It started right up, will idle but seems to choke out when I give it gas. From my internet searches I think it might be the fuel pump. My car has one mounted by the transission. I tried taping on it to see if it would get un-stuck but that didn't work. Is there a way to confirm that this is the problem before spending $250 on a new fuel pump?
