The car: 1992 volvo 240

i have been having problems fixing this particular cars brakes. The car has well over a hundred thousand miles and has seen its day. I have changed the brake switch, the brake lights thenselves and checked the wires. All is in good condition but I cant seem to get them to light up at all. All of the interior fuses are in order and work properly. But nothing seems to be fixing the problem. If anyone can offer a bit of advice it would be appreciated.

thanks alot

A bad turn signal switch can cause the brake lights not to turn on.
