I have a mk4 golf gti turbo when I bought it 1 of the coil packs was down so I replaced it and it was still doing it so I replaced the other 3 coil packs and the spark plugs I am still having the same problem. If I put my foot down it clears out but dosent feel as powerfull as it should be through gears then when I let of the throtle it goes lumpy again?

1.8T? What grade fuel are you running as if it is the turbo model you need to run a minimum of 87 preferably 91 or above as the boost will cause ignition retarding and loss of power if it starts getting detonation due to low octane. Speaking of witch see if you can find someone to test the ignition module, a Checker or Advance Auto would be worth calling.
