2002 Vauxhall Vectra 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 117K miles

I HAVE VECTRA GSI 2.6 V6 GOT THE TIMING BELT DONE ABOUT 300 MILES AGO SINCE THEN ITS GOT A MISFIRE IN CYLINDERS 1, 3, 5 THE MECHANIC WHICH IS A FRIENDS FATHER, SWEARS ITS NOT THE BELT. I HAVE CHAGED ALL THE PLUGS AND YESTERDAY I PUT NEW COIL IN FOR CYL 1, 3, 5 AND ITS STILL MISSING. ONLY SOMETIMES, WHAT HAPPENS IS, IT BE DRIVING GRAND FOR A WHILE THEN IT STARTS TO MISS, IF I TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON IT DRIVES PERFECT AGAIN. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO IT HAS ME BROKE BUT ITS A LOVELY CAR! ANY ADVICE WOULD BE MUCH APPRICIATED

Check the wiring form PCM to the coil. You could also remove and clean the CKP (crankshaft position sensor). Is this a straight 6 cylinder engine?
