Engine Mechanical problem
1995 GMC Sonoma 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 123000 miles

My truck cranks but wont start. Fuel pump turns on, sounds healthy, sometimes I try it a few times over the course of 5-10 minutes and it starts roughly and chugs like its running outta gas and then stalls. Then sometimes it cranks right over and fires up and runs fine. When im driving I put it to the floor and it kicks down like its supposed to but then skips and hesitates. But if I ease the pedal down slow. It does somewhat ok. Also. There is a lack of lowend power.

Fuel pump comes up and I have replaced fuel filter also. I have spark but engine still won't start. Could this be timing belt if I am getting spark or maybe a module?

Thank you for response !

Injectors do not pulse, there is no spark, there are no codes, ecu is Good, and replaced numerous other components, I feel like I am over looking something very small. Looking @ ignition switch now, and behind the cluster and pointers would be great.

Thank you again

Electrical problem
1995 GMC Sonoma 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 140000 miles

I have a 1995 Sonoma, 2.2l 4cyl, Manual trans, 2WD that I am having trouble starting. Initially I had a problem when driving that I would lose all power and the engine would die. I would nurse it to the side of the road and let it sit for a few seconds and it would start back up, as long as my dash lights came on (if they didn't, it would not start). I found that the battery cable to the starter was loose and tightened it. I had no problems for about a month or so.

Last night, it did the same thing. It started back up and ran fine, but when I got it to my house it will no longer start. Today I checked the starter wires and they were tight. I removed the starter and had it and the battery tested, both were fine. I replaced the starter cable to the battery. I conducted continuity tests on all wires leading from the starter, alternator and into the dash and all seems fine.

The current symptoms: it will turn over fine, but will not start. The dash lights come on very dim (barely able to see) except for the seatbelt warning light, which comes on bright. All accessories work fine. It has OBD-II, but I cannot find a scanner that will read it (I guess the dealer will have to do it at some point). Any ideas?

Tranny engaged in Park but does not start. Started only in reverse, and now will not start at all. Is there an electrical override switch or some electrical problem? It is shifting normally, however will not start, as it does not think it is in park, but it is.
