I turned a corner going 20 mph or so and had to stop at a red light soon after at 10 mph, the car down shifted hard into first and the rpm's dipped to about 500 rpm's as the car jerked and caught itself and went back up to 800's or so. I just had the transmission flushed. I just purchased the car and it did this before at higher speeds twice, but has not done for about a week. There is no check engine light or any transmission codes from the dealer. The car has only 62,000 miles on It and it is a recent purchase. Could it be the crankshaft sensor acting up? What could it be?

This sounds like you may have an idle air control motor that is acting slow, can you remove it to clean it first? If that does not help then I would try replacing it.

Here is a guide to give you an idea on the repair needed
