Wanting to know thickness of new rotors. Had brake job done at tire shop, 3 times now. Last time buffed rotors instead of turning. Took to dealer min is 26.0 and rotors were at 26.4. Tire shop said had enough to turn. Dealer said no. Who's right? Tire shop turned twice and then buffed them. Dealer replaced rotors and hardware everything find at last however tire shop only want's to give back cost of first brake job with them and not anything for rotors.

Dealer is right. When you turn a rotor, you remove steel from BOTH faces, and 5 thousands is the norm. Plan on replacing at next brake job.
