Engine Performance problem
1990 Toyota Tercel 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles
Recently my car has been having enormous trouble accellerating, and at some points the engine stalls completely. I can floor the gas pedal and it won't go any higher than 30 mph, leaving me to have to drive with my emergency lights on if I drive it at all.
I took the car to a nearby Firestone and they are saying they're pretty sure its the catalytic converter, and are telling me to take the car to Midas or Meineke to get that checked out. I'm a little unsure if this may be the actual reason, and I'm wondering why Firestone can't look at the converter themselves.
have the same problem?
