2002 Toyota Solara 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 66000 miles
I bought the high end Wagner front brake pads. I took the rotors to a machine shop and had them turned. I used a "c" clamp to push the piston back into the caliper.
I reassembled at first using shims from the old pads and then was told I didn't need shims with the Wagner pads I bot. I took apart and reassembled without the shims.
My question is why are the brakes making a banging noise?
Does ABS have anything to do with it as I didn't bleed the brakes, just used a "c" clamp to depress the piston?
have the same problem?
