I am having a 1991 Toyota Paseo coupe with automatic transmission in Australia. The mileage is 191000km. The engine has been re-conditioned n this car has a 3 year warranty on it. The timing belts are new. There is a squeaking noise coming from the engine compartment upon initial start up. After the engine gets warmed up, the squeaking noise goes away. When the accelarator is pressed upon initial start up, the noise increases in pitch but dies away after the rpm hits 3000. It seems the noise is heard when the engine is cold. When the engine is warm, no noise is heard. Overall, the car drives fine. No problem so far. Is this fine? Should I just ignore it? What will be the implications if I ignore it or is there any disaster waiting to happen?
have the same problem?
